I just received my copy of the book and I am very impressed on the chapters covering water hydraulics and the forces that actually contribute to the sights and sounds of moving water. Extremely insightful!

I have been a landscape designer for more than fifteen years and this has got to be the best water feature design book to come along since I have been in business. Up to date, current and valid concepts of naturalistic design will cut years off your learning curve.

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about all the phenomenal claims that have been made over this book and the installation technique the book outlines but I thought hey, it's only thirty dollars and most of the claims are coming from well known and reputable people in the industry, so I ordered a copy.
Now, I must admit with even greater enthusiasm that the claims are extremely accurate and "The RISE Method" does work! It fully explains the complex concepts of natural design in easy to understand language as they pertain specifically to water feature applications.
The truth is, you are seriously disadvantaged if you do not have this book in your resource library! Buy the book and become better at what you do, or better yet, don't buy the book and let me have your customers!

What a wonderful resource manual. This industry was in need of a really great book on water feature design and this one does it all. From the basic concepts to the advanced techniques of naturalistic design elements..."The RISE Method" is a book that every serious designer/contractor should have. Each of the nine people in our architectural firm has their own personal copy and we are actively using it daily!

A must own for everybody in our industry! The R.I.S.E. Method by Rick Bartel takes you from the basic start of any water feature(Design Concepts chapter 2) to the often overlooked part of a completed water feature(Sound chapter 15.) As I read through The R.I.S.E. Method I came to the conclusion that this is not a “book” per-say but a brilliant reference manual with ideas that seem blatantly obvious, so obvious that they are all too often overlooked by the most professional contractor. The R.I.S.E. Method is a reference manual that should be in the hands of the beginner to the most seasoned veteran.
